I have just floated in randomness this Friday night - and for a change it was not alcohol induced - and I gladly shared it with 5 of my girlfriends - I must say that you will see a different side of New York when you spend a night out in town with just your girlfriends ...
We started the night on the highest note - dinner at Son Cubano - absolutely FANTASTIC place - great cuban food - even better ambience - live music / dancing / great people - anyway - you get the idea. Out of the group of 6 girlfriends I have here - we have one very high energy individual whose BADD (Bar- Attention Deficit Disorder) prevents her from staying in one bar for more than 20 minutes - so it kicked in as soon as we finished dinner and although there were tons of people dying to get in to this place - we HAD TO leave. So as we started our wandering adventure that night - we ended up on the corner of 9th and 14th in the meat-packing district - when this conversation took place -
Jimmy (guy on the street) to my friend S - Hi ... I'm Jimmy - are you coming to my party?
S to Jimmy - Oh you're Jimmy - ya - sure.
Jimmy to S - Great - how many girls?
S to Jimmy - 6 of us - where are we going?
Jimmy to S - PM Lounge
So - just to give the background - PM Lounge is this exclusive place in the meat-packing almost impossible to get into...
So as we look upon in bewilderment wondering how she knows Jimmy - and then thinking WOW we are going to PM - she turns around laughing hysterically saying she has no clue who this guy is - so then we realised Jimmy was literally inviting women on the street to go to this party - so 15 minutes later - there was a group of 20-25 women who didn't know each other. Since we were 6 of us we didn't really care - and wanted to watch what happens coz we were sure this guy was full of it - so now the entourage of about 25 women and Jimmy makes their way to PM - and 5 mins later he's talking to the bouncer and all 25 of us are in - we walk in and this guy had tons of alcohol ordered on the tables - he was nowhere to be seen though - so we enjoyed the drinks at Jimmy's party without him and left to continue our adventure ...
It had to be the RANDOMMEST (like that's even a word..) party I have ever been to...
